ICC Bans Previous Zimbabwe Official Ikope For a long time
Previous Zimbabwe Cricket chief Enock Ikope has been prohibited for a long time by the Worldwide Cricket Board for rupturing three tallies of ICC's enemy of debasement code, the administering body said on Wednesday.
Ikope was temporarily suspended a year ago in the wake of being charged under ICC's Article 2.4.6 and Article 2.4.7, which incorporates offenses, for example, declining to co-work, postponing and obstacle of an examination concerning conceivable defilement by the Counter Debasement Unit (ACU).
He was the second official from the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Relationship to be punished by the ICC after Rajan Nayer was prohibited from all cricket exercises for a long time for offering Zimbabwe chief Graeme Cremer $30,000 to fix a match.
The ICC said Ikope was restricted by the ICC hostile to debasement court for a long time in regard of each rupture. The initial two of the five-year times of ineligibility will run simultaneously, with the punishment for the third rupture to run successively.
"We welcome this choice and the significant assent forced on Mr Ikope which mirrors the gravity of the offenses," ICC general administrator (ACU) Alex Marshall said in an announcement.
"Non-participation and block of our examinations by members to the Code are basically not satisfactory and I trust this and other late endorses conveys an unmistakable message to anybody engaged with the game.
